6 pack abdominal muscles can be obtained by most people. If you have a little extra tummy fat and need to lose weight then you may have 6 pack abs that show. You may even be in shape right now but with that extra belly fat you have a lot to loose by not loosing weight.
Many health problems could be alleviated by a weight loss program. Health problems that can be improved by loosing weight is cardiac or diabetes issues, sleep issues and just by loosing weight. You may also have ripped abs and may not be aware of it because they are hiding behind belly fat.
By loosing tummy fat abdominal muscles will be more defined and noticeable to you and others. This could further make six pack muscles more noticeable. To take off fat, exercise and a good diet program is the best method to doing this in weeks instead of several months.
Many people do not have what it takes to proceed successfully with a diet program because they are often too restrictive and exercising is a commitment. Always look at ways to reduce calories and reduce fat to eliminate weight gain.
Consider reducing carbohydrates, sugars and calories to reach your weight loss goal. Try eating more meals during the day but much less at each sitting. Drink plenty of water to help feel full and this should also help eliminate toxins during dieting.

Familiarize yourself with a BMI chart or Body Mass Index Chart. This chart is a fairly accurate picture of your overall body fat but may be a little inaccurate based on current research if your extremely athletic.

Why Don’t More People Have 6 Pack Abs?
A washboard stomach is a rare thing these days. Although you see a lot of people in magazines and movies with great abs, you rarely see a regular guy or girl walking around with a six pack. Most people eventually give up on their quest to get a defined midsection. They believe that it is only something for movie stars or super models. I’m telling you to quit thinking that way!
Lifting a Large Amount of Weight is Not As Impressive as Toned Abs
There are many, many more guys who can bench 315 pounds, than there are guys with a tight midsection. Many women can jog over 6 miles, but not many women have 6 pack abs. If you want to be exceptional, than having a defined midsection is the way to go. If you are spending any time in the gym at all and you don’t have a 6 pack, then you are spending your time doing the wrong things. You will need to shift your focus if you want great muscle tone in this area of your body.
A Sexy Looking Body Starts With a Great Set Of Abs
The fat around your stomach area is usually the last to go. If you get to the point where your abs are showing, then I guarantee you that the rest of your body looks amazing as well. I believe that this is the reason that people find toned abdominals so sexy…they know that the rest of the body must look toned as well! So if you focus on a 6 pack, everything else will fall into place.
Diet and Cardio Are the Main Key to an Amazing Midsection
You don’t get great abs from crunches and sit ups. I haven’t done any type of crunching movement in over 5 years and my abs look phenomenal. Ab exercises certainly will help your abs look a tiny bit better, but focus your time on the thing that gives you the best results. I would say 90% of great abs is from diet and cardio. I wouldn’t even bother doing crunches if your body fat is high, spend that extra 15 minutes and add that to your cardio workout.
Ab Exercises Probably Account for Only 10% of the Results
If you are paranoid about not doing crunches, then include 3-4 sets. That being said, the majority of your time should be spent on intense cardio. Exercise bikes are okay, but I find that running is better. With running on a treadmill or outside, your abs and core have to stabilize your upper body. This is a great way of firming your midsection while stripping off that layer of fat.
Summary: Most people just need to increase the amount of calories burned through cardio and decrease the amount of food consumed. I know this solution seems way too simple, but it is the truth!
