Facts You Should Know About Cellulite…
Cellulite, which is strictly a cosmetic issue as opposed to a medical issue, is a natural fat that is uniquely more noticeable than other forms of fat in the body.
Located in the top layer of the skin, cellulite consists of unattractive lumps of fat that often give a cottage cheese-like appearance to the skin. (Side Note: The top layer of skin is called the subcutaneous layer and is the top of three layers of skin.)
Cellulite is produced by connective cords that attach the skin to your muscles below. These fibrous cords connect your skin to deep tissue structures in your body and fat substances that are located between. When the fat cells grow in number, they begin to press against your skin. While this is occurring, the cords are in the process of pulling in a downward motion, and ultimately, results in dimpling of the skin.
Cellulite is caused by a variety of different circumstances including: 1) a decrease in the venous flow, 2) improper blood circulation, 3) excess fluid retention, and 4) problems with lymphatic drainage. These factors can cause the subcutaneous fat cells to turn into unwanted cellulite. The female hormones, estrogen and progesterone, are also factors regarding the accumulation of cellulite. Estrogen has a role in determining the amount of fat cells as well as the location of the fat cells in a woman’s body. Estrogen stimulates the body to create fat cells in the thighs, the breasts, as well as in the buttocks. Retention of excess fluid and weight gain in a woman’s body can be caused by an increase of estrogen as well. Stretch marks that occur during pregnancy or puberty in the buttocks and the thighs might be signs of fat deposits, and for some women the stretch marks can become areas for cellulite.
It is very important that there is adequate blood flow in the areas where cellulite has appeared. This can be promoted by regular massaging of the area, and the application of high quality cellulite cream at least twice a day. (Side Note: The best time to massage these areas thoroughly is while taking a bath or shower.)
Hydration of the skin is another very critical aspect to help eliminate cellulite. Most of the anti-cellulite creams have extra hydration added to them; however, that is never enough. You need to drink a lot of water each and every day to ensure that your skin remains hydrated. Hence, you need to make it a point to drink half of your body weight in ounces of water per day.
Exercising on a regular basis, eliminating free radicals as much as possible from your body, eating healthy (highly nutritious foods plus vitamin and mineral supplements), not smoking, and limiting your consumption of alcoholic beverages, you are well on your way to limiting the development of cellulite in your body.

Most people usually do not want to go through surgery to get rid of stretch marks but also do not want to go through life with permanent stretch marks. If you feel the same way, then a good home remedy for stretch marks may be your only hope.
How Vitamin E Can Help
Many people will attest that applying vitamin E on stretch marks scars is the best home remedy for stretch marks. All you have to do is to buy vitamin E caplets, cut them open and apply the solution on the affected area of stretch mark. Although the method of application is somewhat questionable, it is a known fact that the vitamin E called alpha tocopherol is an antioxidant needed to regenerate the skin and improve skin elasticity by promoting the growth of cells to replace scars.
Vitamin E caplets are effective up to some point but more effective remedies for stretch mark scars are natural skin care solutions. Natural skin care solutions contain squalene that brings about or hastens the effect of vitamin E. Particularly, squalene oil is a natural antioxidant that promotes skin cell regeneration.
Vitamin E and Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera leaves may also be combined with your over-the-counter vitamin E caplet to bring about skin regeneration and healing. Olive oil may also be used as base for the mixture to allow smoother and easier application on stretch mark areas. If you are doubtful about the amount of ingredients that should be added in this home remedy for stretch marks, other options such as a natural cream that both contains aloe vera and vitamin E is always available in skin care shops.
Water Therapy
The least inexpensive and the simplest home remedy for stretch mark is to drink the required 8 glasses of water every day for hydration. Being well-hydrated can promote skin elasticity and can replace body fluids we sweat out that causes our skin to dry up.
Apply Oil and Cut Nails
Since pregnant women are likely to experience itchiness due to their expanding stomach skin, pregnant women are advised to cut short their nails to discourage scratching. Scratching will only worsen an already existing stretch mark condition since it tears at the dermis. A good remedy for the itch would be to apply a doctor-approved body oil and to gently rub the area with a cloth to relieve itching.
Be Reminded
A natural home remedy for stretch marks is almost always a better option than chemical based solutions especially for pregnant women. To be on the safe side though, always consult your doctor before seriously using a home remedy for stretch marks while in a pregnant state.
Natural home remedy for stretch marks are best applied after a warm shower when the pores are still open and more receptive. Just apply your natural stretch mark remedy of choice liberally on the affected area and allow the solution to seep through.

Everyone loves dimples! They’re so cute. But you want them on the cheeks on YOUR FACE, not your butt. The lumpy, dimpled texture that gathers on our hips, thighs, and butts is known as cellulite. Ick.
Fortunately, there are lots of ways to learn how to get rid of cellulite. But today, we will concentrate on what doesn’t work. Too often we’ll see commercials and advertisements promoting some product that’s supposed to erase our cellulite and make us look as sexy as a Hollywood actress. And, of course, most of them are rip-offs! Here’s a list of the things that don’t work.
Creams and Lotions - They say that they know how to get rid of cellulite: Just rub this cream on your thighs and watch the cellulite disappear. Which is just false advertising! Sometimes they work, but only for a little while. They temporarily shrink the fatty cells. Before you know it, the cellulite returns like an ex-boyfriend who can’t take a hint.
Body Wraps - These could give you a temporary fix, but again, it’s temporary. Very temporary. In fact, body wraps may not even be good for your health. If you ever see an advertisement for a body wrap, do yourself a favor and turn off the TV.
Electric Muscle Stimulation - Ah, these sound like a dream come true, right? All you have to do is put on this device, switch it on, and sit back down on the couch to watch more television. Keep it up and your cellulite is all gone. Nope, sorry, that’s a hoax too.
The real solution isn’t so easy. If you really want to learn how to get rid of cellulite, you have to work for it. You eat right, avoid certain foods, and exercise to shrink up those fat cells. That’s the only solution of any effectiveness that will reduce cellulite and leave our skin looking smooth.
It’s a tough call, sure, but we can do it. All it takes is commitment, drive, and determination to eliminate those dimples once and for all!
